October Block Lotto
SVQG Block Lotto – October 2026
“Bear's Paw” (12” finished)
Thanks to everyone who made our “Creep” of tortoises (that’s the collective noun for a group of them) a great success in August. You turned in a total of 31 blocks. These were divided into two groups that were won by Shelly L. (16 of them) and Mary M. (the remaining 15). Hope you find this next block as fun to make.
As you may have already seen at the meeting, our October Block Lotto will be a “Bear’s Paw” variation using two browns, one orange, and a tan fabric for the background. These colors are all noted in the two-page block directions. Also noted is “twirling” the centers of the four-patches. This can be found in various YouTube videos like this: www.youtube.com/watch?v=3JrVM8JEbFY
Anyway, hope you find this an easy block to make, and don’t hesitate to call me if you have any questions at all about making this block. Thanks, Candy
