SVQG Block Lotto – February 2026 – MONKEY WRENCH (10” unfinished)
Welcome all to the New Year.  Since all those Orphan Blocks were eliminated from your sewing rooms in December, I hope you’ve made good use of that extra space and created something wonderful to fill it up. 
Thanks to everyone who “donated” blocks…we had more than 139 blocks in various sizes submitted for our drawing.  WOW!  What a variety of blocks we had, so these blocks were split into 13 groups for 13 “lucky” winners.  They are:
Joy G; Annie K; Bobbi L; Marilyn M; Shawna T; Mary M (gifted to Bobbi L); Darla B (gifted to Annie K); Ruth S (gifted to Chris M); Edie M (gifted to Nina H); Sara E; Susan O; Nina H; Candy H (gifted to Susan O)
So, on to the blocks for 2026…this year, our blocks will have “critter” names.  Thus, February’s block will be Monkey Wrench.  And, since February brings Valentine’s Day to mind, use Red & Pink fabrics on a light background to make these easy 10” blocks.  For those folks who like to applique, there is an optional heart to put in the center square.
