Block of the Month
BLOCK LOTTO –FEBRUARY 2025
Hey, hey, hey…Happy New Year to all! And, a big “Thank-You” to everyone who tried some form of applique to make a Perky Penguin block for the December meeting. A total of 19 blocks were submitted and looked very smart up on the wall. Kim S. won the first ten blocks and the remaining 9 were won by Linda N., who gifted them to Joye G.
Now, this year all the blocks will have an actual “PERSONAL NAME” as part of the block’s name. The Jack-in-the-Box block is the first one for February and it is really an easy one to piece. The ONE important fabric requirement is that a vertical stripe must be used (as illustrated). The remainder of the block uses Dark, Medium, & Light fabrics to finish it up. Have fun & get creative with your selection of striped fabric. Click on the link for the pattern.
Have fun! Candy
